Building Works on Car Park Complete at CWMC

We’re pleased to confirm that the recent building works in the car park have now been successfully completed.

These improvements were carried out to resolve a long-standing damp issue affecting the hall area near the snooker tables. Following a detailed inspection, a trench was excavated along the external wall to allow access to the damp course. Acting on the surveyor’s recommendations, a new Damp Proof Membrane (DPM) has been installed to protect the building from moisture ingress.

To further strengthen and safeguard the structure, a reinforced concrete wall with steel supports was constructed. Once this had fully set, an ACO drainage system was installed along the wall to effectively channel water away and prevent future problems.

This project represents a significant investment in the upkeep of the club, ensuring that this part of the building is now brought up to modern standards and protected against further damp issues.

We appreciate everyone’s patience while these essential works were carried out and look forward to members enjoying an improved environment.
