The wait is over. Hawkstone is now pouring at Chatteris Working Men’s Club.
When we first announced that Hawkstone was heading our way, we said there was something particularly fitting about welcoming it during CWMC’s 80th year.
Our club was founded in 1946 with strong roots in the local farming community. Hawkstone has farming at the heart of its story too, with its origins in barley grown on Jeremy Clarkson’s farm and a commitment to ingredients sourced from British farms.
A club with farming roots. A beer born from farming. Eighty years apart, they’ve finally met at the bar.
And there’s another reason to raise a glass.
CWMC is the only place in Chatteris where you’ll find Hawkstone, so if you’ve been wondering what all the fuss is about, you no longer need to travel far to find out.
Hawkstone is also just one part of the changing drinks range at CWMC. Our move to Batemans is bringing new names and new choices to the bar, and we’ll be introducing more of them as everything falls into place.
But today belongs to Hawkstone.
It’s here. It’s chilled. And it’s pouring now.
